Arturo Ocampo
Arturo Ocampo has been a licensed attorney in California for over 30 years. He received his Juris Doctorate from UC Berkeley, School of Law. During his legal career Arturo has been an attorney with California Rural Legal Assistance, Kronick, Moskovitz, Tiedemann & Girard, and now runs the Boutique law firm Ocampo Law in San Marcos California. Arturo’s areas of practice have included discrimination law, civil rights, education law, employment law and immigrant’s rights.
Arturo has also been the Chief Diversity Officer as the Associate Vice President at CSU San Marcos, as the Assistant Provost at the University of the Pacific, and in his role as District Director for Diversity and EEO Compliance at San Jose Evergreen Community College District and North Orange Community College District. He has also taught sociology and ethnic studies as a faculty member and lecturer at colleges and universities.
He was inducted into the Mexican American Hall of Fame for San Joaquin County. In all of these roles Arturo has brought about social change and has been on the cutting edge on matters involving social justice, DEI, and inclusive, affirming, and relevant teaching.
